Cooperation within the EU Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP)

European Security and Defence College (ESDC)

The ESDC is a network college. Civilian and military educational and research institutions in Europe, national universities, academies, colleges and institutes provide strategic-level education and training on Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) under the auspices of the ESDC.

The objective of the ESDC is to provide member states and EU institutions with knowledgeable personnel, able to work efficiently on CSDP matters.
The Folke Bernadotte Academy holds the chairmanship of the Executive Academic Board on Security Sector Reform and organises the courses “Civil-Military Coordination in CSDP Operations”, “Course for Political Advisers in international organisations working in the field of conflict and crisis management” and “EU Senior Mission Leaders Course” within the ESDC framework.
